Rose Marie Gallegos, 69, of Laramie, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, with her husband by her side. She was born January 14, 1954 to Max and Mary (Avila) Martinez in Del Norte, Colorado.

She grew up in Ault, Colorado and attended Highland High School. 

She married John E. Gallegos on March 22, 1970, in Greeley, Colorado.

Rose enjoyed anything crafts. She owned the Country Creation Craft Store for several years. Not only did she enjoy crafts, but she also enjoyed gardening and baked the best sugar cookies.

She is preceded in death by her father; her daughter, Rachel Gallegos; and her son, JJ Gallegos.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John E. Gallegos; daughter, Beverly Gallegos; grandchildren, Rachel Gallegos, Desiree Gallegos; and Alex Wooton; great grandchildren, Desmond Garcia and Emery John Norris; and siblings, Cora Rogakis, Tom Martinez, and Max Martinez Jr.

Visitation 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, with a Rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Funeral Liturgy 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at St. Paul’s Newman Center. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
