Ronda K. Johnson left this World to be with her Lord on December 7th, 2021. Peacefully, quietly with chosen family by her side, holding her hand gracefully, offering a prayer.
That is a stark reversal of how she entered into her life on March 31, 1960, she was the center of attention, being the second born of a triplet birth.
Ronda lived a life that she loved. In the mid 1970’s she grew up in Centennial and worked at the Old Corral. Although it took some intense negotiations to convince her mother – she eventually purchased her first dirt bike where she could often be seen riding off with her siblings.
She graduated from Ten Sleep High School in 1979, then pursued a career she loved, graduated from Nursing School.
Ronda was a natural healer and helper, she excelled in working in Pediatrics and at the Cancer Center in Laramie. She cherished and loved the many relationships that she developed over the decades.
The love of her life Kenneth D. Johnson proposed to her on Valentine’s Day. They were married May 22, 1982. Into this union was the blessing of two children Bryson and Chandel.
With a great strength of character, raising two children on her own, she was strong willed and competent, someone that stood her ground. She always loved the outdoors and being with family. Her grandchildren, Paul and Luke, brought her great joy and laughter, she always had a special sparkle in her eyes when she spoke of them.
She is survived by her beloved children Bryson Johnson and Chandel and Paul Pine, her best friend and sister Ruby Self, brother James (Lana) Decker, Brittainy (Troy) Hernandez their children Dristen and Brayden, grandchildren Paul and Luke Pine and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack Decker and Kay Anderson, brothers Charles Decker, Bob Decker and Jack Decker and sister Evelyn Moteleone.
Services will take place on January 8, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Montgomery Stryker funeral home with reception to follow at the VFW.

Ruby so sorry for your loss.
Ronda was an old friend from our youth in Centennial. I remember her hitting the trails on that dirt bike!! I can just see her heading to the pony pasture to meet up with others for a fun day of riding. Two years ago after moving back to Laramie, she welcomed me with open arms. She shared her family and friends with me. She showed me where to get the best fried green tomatoes, an the best margaritas. We had fun on football sundays and ate like queens. We laughed about being Bionic grannies and who had the most joint replacements. We laughed and cried, mostly laughed. I always loved her ,she wasn’t ever a whimpy girl!!Tough as nails and sweet as pie. Till I see you again,God Bless. Give my love to Mama Kay and Bob?♥️ Mary
So sorry for the families loss. Ronda was a beautiful person and she will definitely be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of this news of the loss of Ronda! She was always someone I looked up to when I was young, I thought she was "so cool!". One memory that stands out as kind of a funny one is the time Monjo let me ride his motorcycle (at the age of 15), and I didn't know anything about riding a motorcycle! I was headed up 130 in front of the Trading Post in Centennial, when Ronda saw me screaming up the road...."CHANGE THE GEARS!!!" She hollared at me as loud as she could! I had no idea what I was doing!! She scolded me and teased me about that for a long time afterward! Though I had not been a part of the last 30 some odd years in Ronda's life, she definately holds a great place in the memories of my youth working at the Old Corral and the old Centennial days! I am very glad that I got to spend some time talking with her at Maggie's memorial last spring. I know she will be missed by many, and my prayers are for Ruby and all her family. God Bless You All! I've been sitting at this computer trying to conjure up words that can be of any consolation. All I know is that she was such a beautiful and kind soul that left us way too soon. I am so sorry for the loss of this woman.
