41-year-old Robin Marie Kluz passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2015. She was born in Laramie on November 28, 1974, the youngest child of George and Carol Kluz. She grew up in Laramie and attended Saint Laurence School, Laramie Junior High School, and Laramie High School.
She battled brain cancer for years undergoing radiation and chemotherapy along with immunotherapy for numerous allergies. Through it all she maintained a great sense of humor and was a joy to be around. She loved to shop for special cards to send people. She was a great helper and care-giver at home. She enjoyed traveling and watching movies. She especially loved the New York Yankees and rarely missed on of their televised games. She was loyal to them whether they were doing well or not so well. They were her team, she really admired Derick Jeter.
Robin is preceded in death by her father, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Kluz, and brother, Kevin Kluz, both of Laramie, her brother Robert Kluz, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a sister, Marcie Kluz of Ft. Collins, Colorado and brother Mark Kluz of Eastlake, Colorado. She is also survived by her “little boy” nephew, Blake Ockshner, her aunt and uncle, MaryAnn and Fred Oedekoven, uncle and aunt Mile Carol Ligocki, her beloved Godmother Alice Schnitker, of Laramie, and nephews, aunts and cousins.
A vigil service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.
A funeral liturgy will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 17 at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church with Fr. Rob Spaulding, celebrant. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
