Quincy Lamar Edwards, 48, of Laramie, Wyoming, passed away on March 3, 2025. He was born in Frederick, MD, to Barbara Simmons (Moores) and Jeffrey Edwards.
As an Army Brat, Quincy grew up all over the world, eventually graduating from high school in Junction City, KS. He was a journeyman pipefitter who took great pride in his work as a fire sprinkler installer.
In 2006, Quincy met Jill, 53, of Laramie, WY. Together, they built a life filled with love, later welcoming their children, Kai and Marley, before deciding to marry.
Quincy is survived by his beloved wife, Jill, and their children, Kai, 16, and Marley, 15. He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Simmons, and stepfather, Todd Simmons; his father, Jeffrey Edwards; his sister, Stacy Edwards; and his sister, Tina Erdos, brother-in-law Paul Erdos, and their children. He is also survived by his brother, Jeffrey Cody, and his children; 21 nieces and nephews, and one great-nephew—along with in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and more friends than he knew he had.
Quincy had a deep love for Wu-Tang Clan, Star Wars, his pets, and gardening, but above all, he adored his wife and children—whom he especially cherished, having never imagined he would become a father as a juvenile cancer survivor. Known for his dad jokes, pranks, and infectious laugh, Quincy loved to travel and usually didn’t want to come home. He brought joy to all who knew him. A lifelong learner, he was endlessly curious, always seeking to understand how things worked and was fascinated by interesting facts.
Services will be held at Montgomery Stryker Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, at 2 PM, followed by a reception at 2120 Holiday Drive, Laramie, WY 82072.
In lieu of flowers, donations toward Kai and Marley’s college fund are appreciated. Please send contributions to: Ameriprise Financial 217 Superior Ct Laramie, WY 82072 Please include “Edwards” in the memo line.
