Mike and I worked together for a bunch of years. He was a true professional who was loyal, trustful and dedicated. A honest hard working man and a good team player. We had many fun and enjoyable field trips on the National Forests and Grasslands. Enjoyed hunting with him a time or two and hearing about his Alaska fishing adventures. A very good person that I will miss but not forget....may he rest in peace .
I had the pleasure of working with Mike for over twenty years, He was a great friend we spent many fire assignments together and enjoyed numerous hunting trips. He was an uncle to my children, always willing to help others whether it was to cut firewood, roof a house or build a fence, he helped teach hunter safety classes and assisted for numerous years with the 4H State Shooting contest held in Douglas every July. He was a true friend in every since of the word and will be missed greatly!
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike, he was a nice person. I want you all to know that you all are in our prayers during this time of loss. May the Lord give you strength and comfort. Love Cyndi, Allen and Thomas Cowardin
