Melissa L Wilkinson was born in Rawlins, Wyoming to Carol Wilkinson and Glen Burns. She grew up in Rock River and lived there until she moved to Laramie. She worked as a CNA for 20 years and during that time she started a home health agency with her mother, Carol, in Laramie. She decided to focus on caring for her daughters and moved to Milliken, Colorado with her husband Robert Shern. Melissa struggled with illness during the last years of her life, and passed on December 25th, 2023. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, and husband. She is survived by her mother, father, two sisters, brother-in-law, two half brothers, her son , her two daughters, and numerous aunts, uncles, and other family.
Rosary service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church.
A funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26th, 2024 at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church
I'm so sorry to hear of Melissa's passing. She and I were great friends in high school and beyond, and had lost touch in recent years. My heart and prayers are with Melissa's family.
