Lonny J. Walker, 58, of Laramie died at his home in Laramie, after a lengthy battle with life. He was born March 18, 1957 in Cheyenne, WY to Edgar Ross and Delita (Linn) Walker.
He graduated from Cheyenne Central High School in 1975. Lonny married Paula Walker and together they had two daughters, they later divorced and he married Kathy Smith.
He was in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Lonny worked for the University of Wyoming for 18 years in the maintenance department. He was an avid Harley Davidson motorcyclist and a member of the Laramie Chapter of HOG, a gun enthusiast, and a talented jewelry artist. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and shooting.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Walker; his father, Ross; and his father-in-law, Jim Smith.
Lonny is survived by his two daughters, Amber Longenbaugh (Greg) of Harper, TX, and Aspen Reston
( Angela) of Anna, TX; his mother, Delita Walker of Cheyenne, WY; his three grandchildren and a fourth on the way; his brothers, Michael Walker (Debi), Darren Walker (Nancy), Shannon Walker (Pam), and his sister Wendy Halter (Garry) all of Cheyenne, WY; and his mother-in-law, Fran Smith; brother-in-law, David Smith both of Cheyenne, WY; and his numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial will be held in the spring by his family that will be announced at a later time for those that would like to attend. Cremation has taken place.
