His wife, Sharon died in 2003 and Lou retired shortly after. He married Lynne Pendley, a longtime resident of Laramie, WY and moved to Peoria, AZ where they enjoyed warmer climates, golfing, baseball games and tours around the state of Arizona as well as their two English Labradors, Blondie and BB. Big Daddy Lou. You are missed. I have many fond memories of sharing stories with you and munching on fresh, smoked bacon and cold Coors in the cooler...my eyes tearing from the horseradish pickles. We shared a rough time together; you struggling with the passing of Sharon and my difficulties in life and becoming a man. You rose me up. You healed many wounds in me. I will never forget you. Nobody beats Big Daddy in so many ways. Thank you for blessing this world in everything you touched. Your legacy is proof of everlasting life, lived on in us.

I knew lou through his early wife Sharon, who worked years at Kim Campbells famous home Bakery. I will recall now and remember well going forward his jovial nature and great smile, hw made me laugh-not always easy--when flavoring the current state of the world affairs with nearly perfect cowboy- gathering attitude of high- west rationale....which entails a very certain, candid immediate response of no B.S....."just the facts, ma'am' . But delivered with that humorous twist of his own. I make my own sausage, still and now, in his honor to that deserved skill of his. Rest easy, you were loved by all who knew you... ralph johnson jr.
