Kathryn Marie Cox

Kathryn Marie Cox, age 80, of Laramie, WY passed away on October 27th, 2024. She is survived by her husband Duane, Daughters Jenny and Jessie, and 3 grandchildren.

Kathy was a dedicated teacher since 1968 who treated all of her students like her own, love and cared for them, and looked out for their future.  Her passion for nature and animals provided peace and direction and taught lessons in humanity to everyone in her life.  Her love and lessons in gardening, sewing, baking, art, and cooking will continue to be passed on through the generations.   She was known for her smile and laugh, quips, toughness, and life lessons.  She was a firm believer in learning new things and thoughtful conversations.  She loved horses, plants, and books, Martha Stewart and Game of Thrones, Billy Idol and Andrea Bocelli, birdsong and sunrises, golden fall evenings,  and hot summer days.  She loved her grandchildren and philosophized with them every time she could.  She cherished her friends and held them dear.  She gave with her whole heart.  The world needs more souls such as these, she will be missed terribly.

In the end, the care for her husband of 55 years, for her daughters and grandchildren was of the utmost importance to her.  She will not be alone in this time after death, for her son Bryan, countless furry friends, and family preceding her in death will welcome her with open arms and will keep her company until we can see her again.

“Death ends a life, not a relationship.  All the love you create is still there.  All the memories are still there.  You live on in the hearts of everyone you have touches and nurtured while you were here.”  -Mitch Albom
