Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10
Joe, I know what you are going through. Been there . My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Dieter
To the Bobbitt Family: I was surprised and deeply saddened by your loss of Kathy. I was always so proud of her. She joined the Financial Aid staff as an intern from the College of Commerce & Industry (Business, today). Because of her skill and sincere approach to helping students, she was hired as a staff member, even before she graduated. Over the next 27 years she steadily grew as a professional and caring staff member. In fact, she became a consummate financial aid professional. She was unassuming, yet very caring, accurate, resourceful, and knowledgeable. I was especially pleased when she became the Director of Student Financial Aid, for she earned the chance through her many years of preparation and dedication, and was the perfect person for the position. I could always count on Kathy to have researched any situation and to offer a working solution to any problem. Her passing all too soon leaves a significant hole in the lives of many, especially her family. There are literally thousands of students whose lives a better because of Kathy.
John and Carol Schuckman To Joe and Family, We're so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kathy was just and honorable in her dealings with students, student families and her co-workers. She enjoyed laughing something I sorely needed when I first started working at Student Financial Aid. I wish we had her longer so she could pass on to her grandchildren not just recipes from the Queen of the Crockpot, but important things like being the calm port when other things are falling apart, the friend you could count on to make you smile, the mother who by getting her degree one class every semester (a long process) set high standards for her daughters to get their degrees..... I shall miss her greatly even though it has been a while since I stopped by to see her. Chris Clements
My thoughts and prayers are with you Joe, and your girls and their families on your loss of Kathy. She was a special lady and joy to be around. I treasure the memories I have of her.

My heart aches for the entire Bobbitt Family. I was fortunate to work with Kathy. She was dedicated to UW's students, so smart, and always fair and consistent. Most important was the love she had for her family. She was looking forward to spending time with each and every one of them.
