Joseph Barry Wyland, 86, of Pocahontas, passed away June 18, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Joe was born November 21, 1935 in Cresson, PA to Norman and Mary Monica Waltz Wyland. He retired after 24 years in the Air Force during which he proudly served his country in Vietnam.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Mary Monica Wyland; wife, Sylvia Louise (Korting) Wyland; son, Michael Edward Wyland; brothers, Gerald Frances Wyland and Boyd David Wyland; and great-granddaughter, McKenzie Wyland.
Joe is survived by wife, Becky Batey Wyland; daughters, Marie (Reid) Fletcher of Laramie, WY, Theresa Herbin of Rock Springs, WY, Laura (Wesley) Huber of Greybull, WY, and Jennifer (Craig) Porter of Rock Springs, WY; sons, Timothy Wyland of Laramie, WY, Ronald (Jan) Wyland of Walden, CO, Dusty (Jill) Hunt of Conway, AR, and Rusty (Michelle) Hunt of Winchester, VA; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Beverly (Terry) Stevens of Duncansville, PA; brother, William (Mary Ann) Wyland of Cresson, PA; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27th at Greenhill Cemetery with Military Honors. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Benjamin Wyland, Timothy Wyland Jr., Scott L. Wyland, Joseph R. Wyland, Blaine Corona, and Ashton Corona. Honorary pallbearer will be Ethan Hunt.
