Joseph “Larry” Diaz

Larry Diaz passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, in the company of his loving wife Evelyn Diaz and his nephew Eddie Moreno. Larry is predeceased by his mother Consuelo Rocha and father Jose Diaz. Larry is survived by his loving wife, his soul mate of 17 years Evelyn Diaz and step children of five. He is survived by his siblings, Benigna Moreno and Connie Christensen. Larry is remembered by his loving children, Judy Pastrana, Christine/Tina Diaz, Stevia Munoz, Julian Roy, Lori Kay Leonides, Angie Hoffer, Venediza Ortiz, Lynnette Diaz, Vickie De LaCruz and deceased son Ronnie Diaz. Larry Diaz is survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

Larry Diaz was born July 27, 1940. He was born and raised in Laramie. Larry was a blessed and fortunate man, he has a large family filled with so much love and support and all who truly love him. He married his best friend, the love of his life, his lifelong partner Evelyn, they were together for 17 wonderful years.  Larry worked his whole life, he was a hard working man, he took pride and honor in his drywall and painting services. He was very well known as “The Finish Man.” He not only did drywall but started hosting on the local radio channel KOCA here in Laramie.

If you were to hear him on the radio, you would of seen his personality shine through. He had so much life to him, a wonderful sense of humor and always had just the right touch to light up someone’s day. Larry had many talents, but in particular he loved to dance and sing. He was the star of the party. Larry will be remembered and missed by so many, he’s touched many people’s lives, and he was close to his nephew Eddie Moreno and grandson Adrian Vigil. This man had a heart of gold, you could say he was the glue to his family, may this angel rest in peace.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at Montgomery Stryker Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Moreno, Bronson Vigil, Adrian Vigil, Leonard Pisano, Anthony Pisano and Eric Pisano. Alternate Pallbearers will be Farron Graves, Pedro Munoz, Kelly and Greg Chavez.
