Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend and co-worker JoelAnne P. Berrigan of Laramie, Wyoming died on Friday, April 21, 2017 in Cheyenne, Wyoming in an auto accident. She was 65.
She was born on February 17, 1952 to Oden Stephen and Elsie Caroline (Egan) Paganuzzi, in Mount Vernon, NY. A Bache scholarship winner, she graduated Eastchester High School in Eastchester NY in 1970 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance from Fordham University.
She married James Francis Berrigan in Peekskill, New York on December 7, 1974. They had two children, James Henry, and Katherine Elizabeth.
She lived in Croton-On-Hudson, New York, Montrose, New York and Laramie, Wyoming.
JoelAnne was the controller of the Red Devil Paint and Chemical Company, Assistant Director of Financial Aid for Scholarships at the University of Wyoming, and a Business Analyst at the University of Wyoming’s Outreach School. She had recently retired.
Her husband writes: “She loved her family above all else. Although her career was important to her, she most enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and wife.”
JoelAnne is survived by her husband James Francis Berrigan of Laramie WY; son James Henry Berrigan of Laramie WY; daughter Katherine Elizabeth Berrigan Roth of Reno, NV; grandchildren Conner Flynn Jaure, age 11 and Francine Olivia Roth, age 5; sisters Judith Veronica Paganuzzi Hartmann of Canton Georgia, and Barbara Margaret Paganuzzi of Lawrenceville Georgia; and her brother Oden Stephen Paganuzzi Jr of New York City.
She was preceded in death by her parents Oden Stephen and Elsie Caroline Egan Paganuzzi and her grandparents Henry and Angelina Mariotti Ungrath and Joseph and Elsie Perry Egan.
Services will be held Monday, May 22nd, 2017 at 10:30 AM. The service will be held at St. Paul’s Newman Center, Laramie WY arrangements by Montgomery Stryker Funeral Home, Laramie WY
Jim. May the celebration of life at today's memorial service provide an Avenue of comfort for the grief. Joelanne was a beautiful woman and is missed.
