Jeannie Elmore Bortz, 53 of Cheyenne, formerly of Laramie, passed away on March 2, 2023. She was born March 4, 1969 in Laramie Wyoming to Clinton and Norma (Howard) Butcher.

Jeannie attended Laramie Public Schools, graduating from Laramie High School in 1987.

She married Kelly Bortz and together they had 2 children.

Jeannie had a fondness for animals of all kinds and raised everything from bunnies and birds to cats and dogs to cows and horses.  She cared deeply for her parents and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Norma.

She is survived by her children, Whitney (Ethan) Mullikin and Sam (Cheylee) Bortz; 3 grandchildren; her brothers Dave Butcher, Doug (Shauna) Hensala, Chuck (Tina) Hensala, Greg (Lauri) Hensala, and Clint (Erin) Butcher as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great- nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Laramie, WY on Tuesday, March 14 at 2:30pm.
