Ivan Joaquin Cruz Lopez

Remembering Ivan Joaquin Cruz Lopez, Son of Nilda Lopez and Joaquin Cruz. Ivan was born in Mexico City on September 13th, 2001 and passed away September 15th, 2024. Ivan was such an amazing, caring, and kind soul
overfilled with love for everyone around him. He loved outdoor activities which included going on walks with his dog Kano who he loved very much. Ivan was the baby brother of Jacqueline, Nimcy and Divani. Ivan was an uncle to 12 kids who saw him more as an older brother. Ivan was a bright boy who loved and cared for his family at all times. He would encourage everyone to do
their best and reminded everyone that they could handle anything. He had his own way of showing love which everyone who knew and cared for him greatly appreciated.
Ivan was an amazing stubborn soul, who would always find a way to accomplish things in his own way. Everyone that got to be part of his life was lucky. Lucky to know his contagious smile he would carry around as well as his little giggles he would give. Ivan graduated from Laramie High School in 2020, after this he continued his hard work at Bustos Concrete, where he became
more than just a co-worker, he became family to them.
Although he didn’t like being called “little” he liked to stay young and stay adventurous throughout his life and will continue to do so in his afterlife while watching over those whom he cared about. He will be greatly missed and forever loved.

A service will be held on Saturday, September 21, at 10:00am at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Greenhill Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at the Lincoln Community Center where friends and family can gather and remember Ivan’s legacy.
