Iris Robinson, 85, of Laramie died Friday, January 1, 2021 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital.
Iris was born September 10, 1935 to Robert Dell Cain and Grace Hamel Cain in Middletown, Connecticut.
She participated in community theater during the 1960’s and early 1970’s in New Jersey. She acted in many productions and most notably the lead role in Cactus Flower. She also produced a few productions, too.
In the mid 1960’s she worked in advertising and then insurance. After moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, she continued to work in the insurance industry for approximately 30+ years.
Throughout her life, she belonged to several organizations: Insurance Women of Las Vegas, American Business Women’s Association, and Soroptimists International in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Iris is preceded in death by her parents; brother Robert Dell Cain; sister Verna Speer; husband Robert L. Robinson; step-daughter Linda Lee Ward; and step-son Charles Robinson.
She is survived by her daughter, Jessica C Todd; step-daughter, Amy Morrow (Rick); step-son Jeffery Robinson (Victoria); step-grandchildren: Tanya Johnston, Robert Morrow, Richard Morrow (Marie), Nichole Robinson, Carlie Rae Lawton (Johnny), Rachel Robinson Jamieson (Kyle), and Weston Robinson; and six great-grandchildren.
Jessica Jeff and I are so sorry for your loss. Nanc was a bright, intelligent business woman and we know that she made Dad very happy. She was also a dog lover. Mostly you were the great love of her life Jessica, and her loss is huge. We send our prayers and good thoughts for your health and great success in your new business.
