Harold Herbert Dishman, 89, of Laramie, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Laramie Care Center. He was born May 28, 1926 in Gothenburg, NE to Homer and Althea (Wright) Dishman.
He lived in and around Gothenburg going into the US Army in 1943. After his discharge in 1947 he met and married Patricia in Lexington November 29, 1947. They lived in Gothenburg, NE raising their children.
He worked for the alfalfa mills in and around Gothenburg after getting out of the army. In 1962 he moved his family to Laramie, WY to work for Burman Chevrolet. In 1977 he went into the auto repair business with a partner Al Wilkinson. Al passed away in 1985. Harold then continued the business until his retirement September 1990.
He loved his children and grandchildren very much, taking three of his grandchildren on many camping trips and hiking.
He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his infant son; and eight brothers, and sisters.
Harold is survived by his three children; his 12 grandchildren, one which is Lori Dow of Laramie, WY; his 31 great grandchildren; and his seven great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery with Military Rites by the Wyoming National Guard and the Laramie Veterans Honor Guard.
