Charlene Dianne (nee Rasmussen) Moree

Charlene Dianne Moree (née Rasmussen)

October 6, 1950 –  January 1, 2025

Charlene Dianne Moree, born October 6, 1950, to Clarence and Carol Rasmussen, entered the world under extraordinary circumstances. Her parents, caught in a snowstorm on I-80, pulled over near the Rock Springs airport, where Charlene was born in their car. She grew up in a large family with nine siblings, with whom she maintained close relationships throughout her life.

At a young age, Charlene moved with her family to Laramie, Wyoming, where she attended Laramie High School. It was there that she met and later married Ronnie Sheen. Together, they had two children, Jason Sheen (Denise) and Sara Sheen, both of Laramie.

In later years, Charlene married Eddie Moree and enjoyed living on working ranches in the Laramie Valley, where she appreciated the tranquility of rural life and opportunity to have horses. Known for her fun-loving nature and sharp sense of humor, she made lasting friendships while running and working at Wycolo Lodge and Woods Landing.

When Charlene became a grandmother, her life found a new sense of purpose. She devoted herself to her grandchildren—Colin Needles, Cooper Needles, and Avery Sheen. The bond she shared with them was profound, filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories that lasted until her final days.

Even while undergoing cancer treatments, Charlene’s cheerful spirit remained unshaken. Her resilience and positivity touched everyone who knew her.

Charlene will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, and countless friends. Her legacy of love, laughter, and devotion lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charlene’s name at UniWyo Federal Credit Union, Account 16365.  The donations will directly benefit her grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.

Charlene was like another mother to my daughter Denise. She loved horses and animals. She was an amazing grandmother to Colin, Cooper and Avery. The world will greatly miss her and so will I.
