Cathy Lynnette Brown, 44, died January 31, 2024 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She was born May 14, 1979, to David and Linda Brown (Easton). She was born and raised in Laramie and graduated from Laramie High School.
Cathy worked at the University of Wyoming for 20+ years doing custodial work for the engineering building, she loved to socialize with friends and spend time with her family. She enjoyed puzzles and boardgames and cooking for those she cared about. Cathy loved everyone and was very generous and helped everyone in any way that she could.
Not only did Cathy love people she was also a flower and dog lover, owning a total of 19 dogs.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Easton and Brown; Aunt Val Easton; niece Juanita Brown; and her nephew Manuel Brown.
She is survived by her parents David and Linda Brown of Laramie; sons Cordell Perez of Laramie and Logan Perez of Greeley, CO; siblings Tammy Kennedy (Kelly) of Colorado Springs, Kevin Easton (Dianna) of Laramie, Cody (Chrystal) Brown of Clarksville, Tennessee, Keri Hogan of Laramie, and Keith Brown (Sandra) of Laramie; as well as two nephews, seven nieces, her best friend and the father of her children Isodoro Perez-Mendoza.
A funeral service will be held Friday, February 9th, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
Cathy was one of the best custodians we ever had in the College of Engineering! I worked in the Dean’s Office for over 25 years and knew her well. She was thorough, did things without even being asked, and always presented a cheerful attitude…we loved her. My condolences to her family are truly heartfelt. A lovely woman who deserved a much longer life with her loved ones.
