Alice Wood, 74, of Laramie, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona.
She enjoyed staying at home raising her children, she deeply loved animals of all sorts and colors. Alice also loved puzzles. She loved her family and friends. She loved God and talking about Jesus.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Harry) Cole, father, Rex Mahoney, brother, Kenneth (Jim) Mahoney, daughter, Joyce Smothermon and son, Buddy Smothermon.
Alice is survived by her husband, Dean Wood, of Laramie, sisters; Ellen (Jeff) Hardesty of Laramie, Bertha (Michael) Behrend of Iowa, brothers, Charles Lieurance of Texas and Earl (Sarah) Cole of Laramie. Her daughters; Jane Smothermon, Tammie Dennies, Juanitta Wood and Charlene Wood, son, Richard Smothermon. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Matthew (Sarah), Michaela, Eve, David, Daniel, Jason, Christina, Joshua and Celeste, and great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Clayton and Leander. She is also survived by Duane Watkins and Conner Watkins
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 23 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home with Bishop Darren Bressler, conducting. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery.
