Lynette Chance

Lynette Chance passed away on October 1, 2024, just one day after celebrating her 72nd birthday at Hospice House Laramie. Born on September 30, 1952, in Lewisville, Arkansas, Lynette lived a life full of laughter, love, and a whole lot of sass.

She was the daughter of Edwyn Griffin and Louise Griffin Duggar, and she is preceded in death by her beloved partner, Richard Chance. Together, they raised a wonderful daughter, Lisa Grant. She was also a proud grandmother to two spectacular grandchildren.

Lynette had a great love for nature and dedicated much of the time she shared with her husband to exploring the forests and traversing the mountains.

One of Lynette’s favorite hobbies was listening to music. Whether she was singing folk tunes around a camp fire or playing a happy tune on her harmonica, music was always a source of joy for her.

Her quick wit and infectious sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lynette Chance may have left this world too soon, but we take comfort in knowing that she is now causing a ruckus in heaven, telling them what’s what. Rest in peace, Lynette. Until we meet again.

I worked with Lynette 20ish years ago, and lost touch with her when she moved to CO, she has been on my mind much lately. Love to the family and all who knew her. She was a bright spirit and a delight to have had the chance to know.
