I loved working with Ruth at UW! She was a wonderfully supportive colleague and she touched countless student lives. In retirement, I always enjoyed running into her at the grocery store. She was always upbeat and positive. My prayers for her family. Sara Axelson

“Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Hummingbirds open our eyes to the wonder of the world and inspire us to open our hearts to loved ones and friends. Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and to savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday. The hummingbird’s delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life’s sweetest creation.” -PAPYRUS I know that you are reunited with Grandpa and at peace. I hope you tell Grandpa about meeting Ryder and continue to check on us from time to time. I also hope you have found another bench to enjoy, as I remember we could always find you outside on the front yard bench during a beautiful day.. I love and I miss you dearly Grandma. Sending my love from Wisconsin to all my family.
