Gary was truly a man of integrity, I was very fortunate to have work with him as a firefighter and engineer. Gary was indeed a mentor of positive attributes and good faith. He was one of those men that you look to for support and confidence, a true professional in the fire service industry. God bless the entire Wood family as Gary will be dearly missed. Rest in peace brother ........

Gary and I along with Alan Antonio, Mike Martian and Jim Kenshalo started in 1-2-74 with the Bancroft Fire Protection Dist. The Rocky Mtn. I was lucky to work with Gary when I started my career in the fire service. He was my 1st engineer at Bancroft station 1. He was a true mentor, leader, and all around good person. I worked with Gary on the Rope Rescue Team and again what a mentor and leader. On calls Gary was the one individual you could count on. He always told me to use my common sense. I will miss good friend! RIP Gary Thoughts and Prayers are with Gary and his wonderful Family

Thank you Carol for your kind words. My dad loved serving at the department and was a hard worker. I'm glad you got to work with him. We will miss him.
I worked with Gary at stations 9 and 12 for a long time. It was a joy to work with him in Morrison as he grew up there, so had a very n depth knowledge of the area. Some of the things he said over the years will stay with me forever. He was an incredible individual as well as an asset to everyone whose life he touched. He will be missed.
Thank you Gene for your kind words. I'm glad you got to work with my Dad. He loved serving at the department. We will miss him.
So sorry to hear about Gary’s passing. We didn’t work together for many years before he retired but it was always a pleasure to spend a shift at the Morrison station with Gary. Jeff and I attended the same fire academy and I enjoyed getting to know him as well prior to his move to Laramie. Apple didn’t fall far from that tree. Good roots! Your family is in my prayers.
Thank you John for your kind words. I do remember you from our Fire Academy back in the day. My dad did have a good influence on me and I enjoyed following in his footsteps and my time in the Fire Service. We will miss.
Gary was the best. Probably the number one engineer at the fire department in his time there. High level of integrity and honesty. I truely enjoyed the tume we worked together. He will be missed.
Thank you Steve for your kind words. My dad loved working at the fire department and took pride in his driving skills and job as an engineer. I have fond memories of being a kid growing up around the firehouse and as an adult I cherished hearing his stories of his time there. We will miss him.
