Condolences to Jimmy Joe's family and all his friends; being the new kid on the block from Hanna back in 1969, Jimmy was one of the first to welcome me without any judgement. "Bear" said it best about a "Great man".
I wish often I could be as friendly, peaceful and so darn pleasant to all around....as Jake was. He was the nicest man in high school, and realize, now, decades later he remained that kind, cheerful, happy to visit anyone he knew. We seldom know few people whose great personhood endures the ages. Shirley, what grace you shared over such a constant, kind life of Jimmy. He will be missed but not forgotten at all in this house....peace...and rest well, Jake. So deserved. Great man. ralph "bear" johnson

Tough, loyal, strong, friendly. Never caused trouble but he could handle it when it came his way, and with style. Always had time to converse with his friends and was a good storyteller—put things in the right order and honest. Delightful smile and hearty handshake.
