Gerald (Jerry) Ray Nichols, 1937-2024. Jerry was born on October 3, 1937, in Okemah, OK, and died in Laramie, WY, on February 24, 2024. He is survived by his spouse, daughter, and three grandchildren in Laramie, three brothers in California, and a sister in Arizona. He enjoyed a good life with his family and friends. Jerry was trained as an air traffic controller during his service with the United States Navy. Aviation was one of his passions, and he controlled the skies over California for many years. He was also a self-taught plumber and electrician, and there was rarely a job that Jerry couldn’t figure out. Being an amazing Grandpa was the job he loved the best, and cherished time with his three grandchildren. Even with progressing dementia, Jerry’s kindness, generosity, and wit were evident. He was always able to show us love, a bit of humor, and tell a good story. We miss him dearly, and may he rest in peace.
