The Good Lord took Joann Sencabaugh, 73, of Laramie, to the “Other Side” on Friday, February 24, 2023.
Joann was born and raised in Rawlins, WY and preceded in death by her father Dr. James Earl Cashman and mom Margaret (Mullen) Cashman.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Sencabaugh who she married on March 25, 1981 in Laramie, and son Michael and daughter-in-law Cassandra Muir, and puppy Sampson.
She loved the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and camping.
Joann graduated Rawlins High School and went to Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. She did a lot of accounting, banking, and then was a legal secretary for years.
She loved Rock & Roll and the “Blues,” Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, and Fleetwood Mac—she loved them all!
She loved nature, great and small. She left too soon. Peace, and “keep a little love in your heart.”
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Laramie Animal Shelter.

Steve my condolences and prayers to you and your family.
So sad to hear of JoAnn passing away. I have wondered for years as to where she might be. We had a connection with our three Michaels who were all born in Rawlins all about the same time. Her Michael James was given the middle name after James Cashman. Michael John was named for John and Susan Franks, and my son Michael Shane. I had no idea she lived in Laramie. We left Rawlins 16 years ago and moved to AZ.
Steve. So very sorry to hear of Joann’s passing. RIP

Steve from the bottom of my heart I am so sorry for your loss! I am definitely going to miss the morning calls with Joann.
Steve, so sorry for your loss. I used to work for Dr Jenkins. I wanted you to know I’m thinking about you.
Joann was a wonderful person...so kind and loving. She was so welcoming. I felt like a part of her family. She will be missed. Steve, my condolences and prayers for peace are with you dear friend.
Joann was a very loving and thoughtful person. She was always the first to send her friends and family a card for all occasions. She never forgot those who were worse off than she was, always donating to charities especially at Christmas time. She was a wonderful cook, although she never admitted it. She loved her husband, her son and her pets with a passion. We were privileged to have had Joann in our lives, and we will miss her very much.
Steve, I am so sorry to learn of your loss this way. You both opened your home to me with great love and fellowship and hospitality when I came to Laramie. You shared your home, your stories and hearts and puppies and plants! with me. I am sorry I wasn’t closer in Joanne’s last days to help. Thank you for your kindness. May God bless you and give you peace. Janelle S
