Just found out ... To the gentleman who was kind and lovely to a gay boy in 89, 90 and beyond. I remember working sets for noises off production in green river high school. Rock on good sir ... Wherever we go, I hope there is more stellarness like you !
All my heartfelt condolences to all of Bliss's family. I taught and worked with him at Western, and he was always a pleasure to be around. He also had a wonderful talent and a zest for life, and I am honored to know him and call him my friend and colleague.
Fare you well, fare you well I love you more than words can tell Listen to the river sing sweet songs To rock my soul
Some of my fondest memories at 12 were playing D&D at Bisses house
Bliss, you taught me so much and were always so kind. Always treated me as an equal and were tons of fun to hang out with whether doing something or doing nothing. I'll miss you and I love you. PLAY WOODSHIPS!!!
I don't even remember what year I met Bliss, but I certainly will never forget him. He was a kind and gentle man and always had a smile. He even helped me by doing some , hot, grungy work outside one summer. For someone not experienced in this kind of work he was a quick study, never complained and made light work of it. He was a pleasant and most memorable man. RIP Bliss. Ann Jacobs
So sad...just like that old traditional song... "He was a friend of mine". I first met Bliss nearly thirty years ago at the Buckhorn. He was in a booth by himself so I walked up and asked him, "Need a friend?"...he looked at me and smiled, "Sure!". He never forgot that. A man of so many gifted talents...vocals, guitar, that awesome flute...playwriter, director and actor...amazing person with one heck of a quick wit! We will miss the Bliss. Bill & Georgia
