Thomas Liberty Ross, 38-year-old of Laramie, went to be with his lord and savior on June 29, 2021.
Thomas was a man full of inquiry and a love for the Lord. He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother and friend. Becoming a husband and father was a dream come true for Tommy, and he expressed that often. He loved the adventures they were able to go on as a family, as well as the calm nights at home watching movies or playing video games. Tommy was successful in his field of Diesel and had recently started passing this knowledge onto the next generation of students as an instructor at WyoTech. He felt a lot of pride passing his knowledge onto generations to come and watching his students learn and grow.
Tom is survived by his wife, Liz, sons, Stephen and Gunner of Laramie, parents, Larry and Kim Ross of Arizona and sister, Kelsey (Kalani) and nephew Ryan of Washington, and an enormous amount of family and friends.
Thomas was loved by so many and brought such a wonderful light to life. He was an easy person to have fun with and have those late-night conversations with. He is greatly missed.
Tom was an Advanced Diesel instructor at Wyotech in Laramie, WY. He came from Portland, OR in 2019 and was proud to call Laramie his home and Wyotech his family. He never saw himself as an instructor, but his students were so important to him, and he was willing to do almost anything to help them succeed. He had a daily goal of making every student smile at least once, annoy them at least every minute and strive every day to teach something new, learn something new and be the best he and they could be! His favorite quote was “Knowledge is Power”.
Born and raised in the Washington/ Oregon area Wyoming defiantly had its differences but as life does give us curve balls, he ended up back in Laramie with the girl he had met and dated 18 years earlier while in college. He settled into Laramie as a place to call home with his girl and sweet two boys who he hopes will follow in his footsteps someday walking the same halls he did as a student. In his spare time as a family he liked to hang out with family, play Call of Duty, Fortnite and anything else the boys come up with. Any spare moment he got to himself he loved to go spend time at the range and reloading.
Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
