William “Bill” Hunt, 80, of Jelm, WY passed away at his home in Jelm. He was born March 26, 1938 in Denver, Colorado to William H. and Nona L. (Vetter) Hunt.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ron Hunt; and his brother-in-law’s, Lester Gore and Bill Misrasi.
He is survived by his sisters, Karen Misrasi of Chugwater, WY, and Kay Gore of Wheatland, WY; his nieces and nephews, Debra Kersting, Mark (Connie) Kersting, and RaeCe Wilkerson (Keith); and his two great nephews, Keil and Rory Wilkerson. He is also survived by his extended family and friends on the Big Laramie River.
It was Bill’s wishes that no services to be held and for cremation to take place.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bill’s name to Last Wish for Life, a foundation for adult terminal cancer wishes, c/o First State Bank. Wheatland, WY 82201

Dear Kay, Karen and families, We were saddened to hear of Bills passing, our families go back as far as the Hunt’s moving to Jelm. Lots of fond memories that is for sure. Bill would often stop in to have a friendly chat with my patents( Ken and Helen Kilgore) who lived at Jelm, and they always loved seeing him. There are so many good things that can be said about Bill , but I think one exceptional human being says it best!
Billy was like a big brother to me as I worked for him during haying season on the Boswell Ranch for several years in the 1960's. And what a big brother I could have....an honest, caring, truly Godly man who had infinite patience and would give you the shirt off of his back. I met Bill when I married Stan Hollyman and we moved to Jelm where Stan's parents used to live on the river. Bill was the most thoughtful and caring person and I felt privileged to call him a friend. I'll never forget the rafting trip he took me on down the Big Laramie River. May he rest in peace while his kind and gentle spirit remain in our memories; he will be missed.
Dear Kay and Karen, We all loved Bill. He was such a good man. We trusted our kids to him when he was school bus driver. He was the best mail man and neighbor we could ever have had. You guys are in our prayers. George Golen Billy and your family were one of my countless blessings and positive influences in my growing up years. He and Ron were so often at our place helping with some kind of project. I remember that one year when Billy was helping us brand calves yet again, that Dad tried to put his brand on a calf to repay him. Billy would have nothing to do with that. To the Hunt family: We are so sorry for your loss. Billie was a very special family friend. When my dad, Les Shinkle and My Uncle John Shinkle first moved to Laramie , Nona and Billie was the first people we met. Billie will be greatly missed. All the Ice Skating parties, the chili dinners at the hunts etc. I could go on forever. God bless you all and take comfort in knowing he will always be with you in memory and spirit.
