She was a 50 year member of the Snowy Range Chapter #45 of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of both the American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary.
Dorothy enjoyed being with her family and friends, dancing, and playing Bingo. She was always up for a road trip to go see her great nieces and nephews and their families. She loved to cook, especially candy and her special banana bread.
She was preceded in death by her son, Brent in 1983, step-daughter Cheryl Hall, parents, brothers Howard, Don, and Doug O’Dell, sisters Mildred Hoff, Edna Pryich, and Donna Bretthauer. She is survived by many nieces and nephews, brother-in-law, Tom Bretthauer, and step son-in-law, Ray Hall.
Services will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 4:30 PM at Montgomery-Stryker Funeral Home at 2123 Garfield Street, with Rev. Dick Naumann, celebrant.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ivinson Memorial Hospital for their care of Dorothy. In lieu of flowers we would like to suggest donations to the Laramie Animal Care Center, or the Order of Eastern Star Foundation.
I knew Dorothy when she worked at City Hall in Laramie with my mother, Jean Karch. Dorothy was always friendly and smiling and had a wonderful sense of humor. I know she will be missed. Please accept my sympathy in your loss. Marian
Rest in peace, Aunt Sugar. We all love you.
Celie and family, I am very sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was a very important part of your lives. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Debbie
